Music Festival Makeup Guide

With spring in full swing, there are music festivals popping up all over the country. Coachella, Stagecoach, Bonnaroo and Sasquatch bring amazing music to the masses. Choosing the right clothing can be a challenge, but bringing the right makeup is just as important. Below are six beauty products that will complete a music festival look.

Tinted Moisturizer

For a foundation, look for a tinted moisturizer that has SPF. Boots No7 Soft and Sheer Tinted Moisturizer ($12) has an SPF of 15 and evens out skin tone, while helping to keep the face fresh and moisturized. For more coverage, opt for a long-lasting foundation that works well with your skin type.

Concealer

Make sure to bring a concealer that can easily be thrown into a small purse to take on the go. This product will help hide dark circles, cover blemishes, as well as provide an easy touch-up throughout the day. Try Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer ($7) for flawless coverage and easy application.

Powder Compact

To set the concealer and tinted moisturizer, dust a light pigmented powder over the top. This is the second item that should be packed to use during the day. Maybelline’s Fit Me Powder Compact ($8) comes with an applicator and a mirror, so you can easily powder between sets.

Lip and Cheek Product

For the lips and cheeks, look for a dual-purpose product. A great option is Stila’s Convertible Color ($25), which comes in a wide range of colors and can easily be applied on the apples of the cheeks for a rosy glow or to the lips for a perfect pout.

Waterproof Mascara

Be sure to apply two coats of waterproof mascara at the beginning of the day. This will ensure that the mascara won’t run and create the dreaded raccoon-eye effect. Try Sephora’s Le Waterproof Mascara ($12) for buildable lashes that won’t run.

Colored/Glitter Eyeliner

For a bit of flair, bring a colored or glitter eyeliner. This can be applied close the the lashes or smudged across the lid for a more dramatic look. If you’re feeling especially adventurous, draw a simple geometric design on each cheek with the liner. Try Sephora’s Glitter Eyeliner ($7) in gold for an accent that isn’t overpowering.

Be sure to bring along sunscreen, lip balm with SPF, makeup remover, a water bottle, comfortable shoes and a great group of friends!
