Avocados, avocados, avocados! This creamy, yummy green fruit, known as an ingredient in guacamole, is also a great ingredient for your skin. Not only is it filled with essential oils and vitamins B, C and E, but it also keeps skin moisturized and smooth.
If you have dry skin, avocados are a lifesaver. If not, you can still reap the benefits of an avocado. And luckily for college gals, the cost won’t put a hole in your pocket.
Follow this simple avocado face mask for glowing, healthy skin.
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp. plain yogurt
- 1 tsp. olive or avocado oil
1. Peel and mash the avocado.
2. Beat in the remaining ingredients.
3. Apply to face immediately. Leave on for 5-10 minutes.
A low-effort but effective recipe! All of these ingredients can be found in the supermarket, health food stores or already in the kitchen. Mash up those avocados, have fun and most importantly, nourish your face! Your skin will thank you later.
