Last-Minute DIY Costume: Cowgirl

Halloween is only two days away (!) and most college girls (myself included) tend to wait until the very last minute to get their costumes.

Here is a quick put-it-together-a-few-hours-before-that-big-Halloween-party costume idea. Most of the pieces required may already be in your closet. If they aren't, you can borrow them from a friend or pick up what you don’t have at your local thrift store for cheap.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1. Checkered flannel shirt (any color will do)
2. Bandana (folded in half and tied around your neck)
3. Blue jeans or denim shorts
4. Cowboy boots (or any brown cognac-colored boots, just use what you have)
5. To complete the ensemble, a cowboy hat that you can borrow from a friend or pick up at your local thrift store.

Hair:
For your hair, two simple side braids will do, topped off with your cowgirl hat.

Makeup:
Keep it simple with some eyeliner, peachy flush tone blush and maybe some false lashes, why not? It’s Halloween! Top it off with a nude lipstick for that natural look.

Go get ’em cowgirl!

Happy Halloween!
