Style Like Her's: Miss USA Alyssa Campanella's Wicked Glam Look

The Look: "Poison Ivy," as host Giuliana Rancic nicknamed winner Alyssa Campanella last night, stole the show and the crown for the title of Miss USA 2011. Even though she wowed with her long, auburn locks and flashy smile, it was her forest green, non-traditional, fashion-forward gown that really impressed me. But as college students and recent grads, it's not like we have anywhere to go to wear a floor length evening gown, complete with glitz and glam. So channel the beauty queen by opting for the same flawless color scheme and dolled-up look for any formal occasion you happen to attend.

2-in-1 Flat Iron/Curling Iron, $40, Macy's; Dress, $69, asos.com; Too Faced Smokey Eye Palette, $36, Sephora; Laura Mercier Lip Gloss, $22, Nordstrom; Heels, $80, Bakers; Clairol Hair Dye in "Cinnaberry," $9, Target

Getting It Right: By rocking this deep teal shade in a sexy cut-out silhouette, you'll be giving the pageant girl a nod in her direction without the weight of the long train and complicated bustle. Achieve the sparkles and shine by displaying it on your feet with show-stopping platforms. Go for a smokey eye with a DIY eye palette, and slick on high-shine gloss to plump up your pout. Amp up the volume of your strands by getting defined curls like Alyssa with a 2-in-1 heat tool. Want to go all the way? Try a semi-permanent auburn hair dye to get a whole new look. Just because you're not Miss USA doesn't mean you can't achieve an award-winning look.
