Office Casual: How to Wear Jeans to Work

By CG Staff
If you're in college and you hear the words "casual," you're probably envisioning sweats, comfortable tees, leggings, and flip flops. Casual in the work world, however, does not extend quite that far into comfort.

If you're allowed to rock denim occasionally (or everyday) at your next internship or job, you should definitely take advantage of it. We'll show you how to rock the casual office look with dark denims and everyday, office appropriate looks with our Casual Friday staples.

Casual Friday Staples:
  • Black or dark jeans
  • Closed-toe flats, comfortable heels, or stylish boots
  • Blazers
  • Cardigans
  • Casual button ups
The Looks

Button Up: Old Navy | Jeans: American Eagle | Flats: Born via DSW | Scarf: M by Mango

Pair dark denim jeans with a casual button up. For a bit of color, add bright shoes and a scarf or other accessories to smarten up this black and white outfit.

Cardigan: H&M | Necklace: Forever21 | Jeans: Amazon | Flats: Rue21
Cardigans are a staple to the casual business look. Pair a simple t-shirt with your everyday cardigan, a pair of flats, dark denim, and a matching necklace to complete the look.

Blazer: Zara | Top: Forever 21 | Pumps: Shop Ruche | Jeans: American Eagle
This outfit is the perfect look that can easily transition from daytime office appropriate to nighttime sultry with one swift movement: taking off the blazer. That's right, remove the blazer and we can totally see you rock that red top, nude heels, and dark jeans.

What's your casual office look?
