Final exams are winding down and summer is here! With the hot weather in full swing in most places, it's time to start thinking about your summer wardrobe. Here are 8 summer trends that college students are loving:
1. Crop tops
I used to think that I couldn't pull off a crop top, but it really depends on how you wear it. Crop tops look great with a pair of high waisted shorts or a high waisted skirt. A small bit of stomach showing is a great way to keep cool and look stylish.
2. Pineapple print
Pineapples are finally getting their turn, with the print seen everywhere from Brandy Melville to Forever 21. I personally love the trend because pineapples are my favorite fruit. And what better way is there to tackle summer than by having some juicy, cold pineapple?
3. Boho inspired necklaces
Festival wear is really inspiring this summer's fashion, and colorful, boho inspired necklaces are one trend that will definitely be surviving.
4. Mint anything
Mint may not be this year's Pantone color, but a mint green is the perfect color for summer nails.
I'll be living in lightweight kimonos this summer. They're a great way to tone down the crop top look, and are great for the evening when it gets a little cooler.
6. Minimalist sandals
I love the look of minimalist sandals, especially in white and nude. Especially if you're dressing in prints, a minimalist pair of sandals really adds a clean cut effect.
7. Floral headbands
Floral headbands are in! Also inspired by this year's festivals, floral headbands have been going mainstream and are a cute way to keep your hair tamed this summer without much effort. Just tuck it over your head, and add a bobby pin or two to secure it in place.
8. Cut-off shorts
Lastly, this summer is all about cut-off denim shorts. Pair a high-waisted pair with a crop top or a regular pair with a loose crochet tank for a casual, flirty look.
