Get Kate Hudson's Gorgeous Gala Look

Gala season is officially upon us, and that means extra gorgeous gowns and extra glamour. At the recent Tiffany & Co Blue Book Ball Gala held at the Rockefeller Center in New York City, lots of A-list ladies turned out to celebrate the jewelry that dreams are made of. Because Tiffany’s is known for their famous little blue boxes, there were plenty of blue dresses dominating the carpet at this event. One of the best dresses of the night appeared on Kate Hudson, who did some serious color-coordinating in a Reem Acra gown that almost exactly matched the backdrop of the carpet.

Kate’s gorgeous look centers around her Reem Acra Resort 2013 gown, a floaty blue number that features a sweetheart neckline, an accented belt at the waist and the ever popular side split. This is a classically elegant dress, and the accent at the waist along with the side slit add some visual interest and keep it from looking too plain. The actress kept things simple with nude peep-toe pumps and an understated clutch, with the real accents to her look coming from the sparkling Tiffany earrings and bracelet she wore. Side-swept curls and clean makeup put the finishing touches on this glam look.

1. Dress from Love Culture, $23.90
2. Jacket from American Eagle, $49.95
3. Sandals from Lori’s, $36.95
4. Earrings from Juicy Couture, $58
5. Bag from ALDO, $39.95

A perfect complement to Kate’s glamorous gown is a floaty blue maxi dress with some gold detailing and a tie belt that helps echo the silhouette of Kate’s dress. Maxi dresses are great for spring and summer, as they’re super easy to wear and can be dressed up or down. Since this is more of a daytime look, a simple pair of gold sandals are a good go-to option, while for night a pair of fun wedges in a bright color or simple neutral would do the trick. A white denim jacket keeps this outfit cool and casual and fits in perfectly with the Tiffany’s color scheme.

Kate’s accessories, while stunning, are a little too much for daytime wear, so dial things down a little with a bright pair of earrings that still have a little bling factor. Taking a cue from Kate’s neutral clutch, an embellished neutral tote bag is a great option here, with the neon pink piping adding a little more color to the look and complementing the chosen earrings nicely. Minimal makeup and soft curls like Kate’s would be a perfect way to finish this outfit off, as there is definitely some color going on in this look. If you’re feeling colorful, try some gold eyeshadow to play off the gold accents, or even a bright pink lip to match the earrings and bag!
